building Power. Elevating Voices. Driving Change—Together.

Black Women’s Leadership Collective Virginia (BWLC-VA) is dedicated to creating a lasting and impactful infrastructure that amplifies Black women's leadership, advocacy, and political engagement across the Commonwealth. Our mission is to mobilize, organize, and empower Black women at every level—ensuring our voices are heard, our concerns are addressed, and our power is felt.

Key Objectives for Virginia

Grassroots Expansion: Virginia is a critical battleground, and Black women are at the heart of shaping its future. By uniting our leadership and working alongside allies, we amplify our collective power and ensure our voices are heard. Our work is not limited to one election cycle—we are building an enduring movement that strengthens advocacy, leadership, and opportunity for all communities across the Commonwealth.

Policy Advocacy: Advancing policies that are in alignment with our values that better the lives of Black women and our communities.

Community Mobilization: Engaging Black women and allies through voter registration, issue education, and civic participation to build a stronger political presence.

Leadership Development: Creating pathways for Black women to step into leadership roles in politics, advocacy, and community organizing.
